“Dookey Dash” creators Yuga Labs will receive 5% of royalties from the 1000 ETH sale, worth 50 ETH – now worth $81,500.

18-year-old “Fortnite” eSports star Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson accepted a 1,000 ETH bid for his NFT, after winning the NFT from getting the highest score on Yuga Labs’ game “Dookey Dash”.

The bid for the winning “Dookey Dash” key NFT was made by billionaire entrepreneur Adam Weitsman for 1000 ETH, where Mongraal had previously listed the key NFT for 3,333 ETH – equivalent to $5.43 million.

“A special thank you to Yuga Labs for hosting an incredible competition. I look forward to competing in future events. Royalties will be paid in full,” the content creator added.

As a result, Yuga Labs, known for the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, will receive 5% of royalties, worth 50 ETH, amounting to $81,500 at the time of writing.

In conducting the sale, Mongraal enlisted the help of Tre, cofounder of the NFT community Underground. Tre assisted Mongraal with negotiations with interested bidders for the Dookey Dash NFT, and “just wanted to help make sure he was getting the right price the key deserved.”

Last week, Web3 community UpDAO placed a collective bid for 690 WETH on the NFT – at the time worth $1.1 million.

The winning Dookey Dash NFT also caught the attention of meme site 9GAG, where it placed a 999 ETH bid on the key, but then soon lost to Weitsman.

The upstate New York-based entrepreneur and social media star currently proudly sports a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) PFP on Twitter, and is known for his scrap metal businesses and his crypto mining firm Viridium, originally planned to mine bitcoin, litecoin, and kadena with 400 computers in its starting fleet.
